Lose Weight with Self-Love

The single most important weight loss lesson I have learned in battling to stay fit is this.

When I weigh myself in the morning, no matter what the result is, I force myself to find some positive self statement and positive self-appraisal. Sometimes I am happy I am low and can indulge a bit. Sometimes I am sad or even shocked that I have gone up a lot more than I thought possible. It is in those latter times that I force myself to positively reframe my thoughts and reactions. Some examples below:

"Well, I have been here before and I know what to do differently today. I can do this."

"Well, I ran a bit longer and the weather is nice today so I can do that again and not eat so much when I get home. Also I can shower when I get home so I have a chance to self-evaluate my body, rehydrate and relax before I overeat after my run"

"Well, its moving in the right direction"

"Well, its not my all time high weight so I am still making progress"

PS I am ready to write a sequel to my prior work and need a literary agent.
